THE COURSE Learn to sculpt a dragon head with CreatureCave! We'll go through simple steps to bring your fantastical creature to life, showing you how to use a variety of tools and techniques- in your choice of clay! SKILL LEVEL This workshop is built for total beginners in mind. A basic understanding of animal/human anatomy is a bonus, however, a strong imagination and a great passion to learn is a must! If you're unsure, please get in touch first. We’re limited to 8 places at a time, so please book ahead to secure your spot. This class is aimed for those 13 years old and up. MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT You will be given a materials list that you will need to source yourself ahead of time. If you have any issues finding materials, please let CreatureCave know via email. The class Sculpting Kits are not yet available for purchase, but will be in the future. If you want to know the materials list before you book a class so you can see if it is possible for you to acquire everything ahead of time, please get in touch first. YOUR INSTRUCTOR This class is taught by Verity Filipow of CreatureCave, who also doubles as a sculptor and Puppet Maker at Aardman Animations. Verity has a bachelor's degree from UAL Wimbledon in Technical Arts and Special Effects and she has been sculpting for over 15 years. Her resume consists of not only Aardman films and TV, but live action special effects & prosthetics for screen, as well as advertising for big name high-street clients. CreatureCave is the online home of Verity’s creatures and character dolls, and has been an exciting ongoing journey for the past 8 years. NOTES This class is to learn traditional/physical sculpture, not digital. This class is offered online over Google Meet, and in English only. Please make sure you have a strong internet connection in order to participate.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot attend your booked session, please contact me before it starts, and your class credit will be used for a future class date. You can move your class credit twice, after which, you can ask me for a refund minus a 25% fee. Any Sculpting Kits that have been purchased are non-refundable.
